CNS Oncology is a fully open access neuro-oncology journal, now published by Taylor & Francis, covering diagnosis, staging and treatment of brain and spinal tumours in practice-oriented formats for oncologists and other clinicians.
Overview
CNS Oncology addresses diagnosis, staging and treatment of central nervous system tumours by publishing patient-centred clinical research both as direct clinical findings and in practice-oriented formats, with the stated aim of giving oncologists and other health professionals the latest findings and opinions on reducing the burden of the disease. It considers papers on diagnosis and imaging, staging, epidemiology, case reports and series, patient perspectives, pharmacoeconomics and outcomes research, pathology, palliative care, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgical approaches, systemic and adjuvant therapies, biomarkers, clinical trial protocols and updates, comparative effectiveness, molecular biology and diagnostics, and risk and prevention, welcoming original research, narrative and systematic reviews and opinion pieces. DOAJ lists it as open access since 2018 under a CC BY-NC licence with an article processing charge and double anonymous peer review. NLM records it from 2012, launched by Future Medicine in London and published by Taylor & Francis from 2024, with print issues ceasing in 2017 and articles now compiled into annual volumes; indexed in MEDLINE and PubMed with content in PMC.
