Overview
The Journal of Experimental & Clinical Cancer Research describes itself as an online peer-reviewed journal publishing original research papers, reviews and commentaries in cancer research from bench to bedside, seeking to bridge laboratory discoveries with the understanding, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. It is the official journal of the Regina Elena National Cancer Institute in Rome and is owned by the Association for the Promotion of International Tumor Studies; it is published by BMC, part of Springer Nature. Submissions are expected to report findings not previously published in the same model, studies performed in multiple cell lines, and conclusions that go beyond incremental results. NLM catalogues it from 1982 and notes that print issues ceased with volume 26 in 2007. The Directory of Open Access Journals lists it as fully open access since 2008 with anonymous peer review, an article processing charge, and CC BY and CC0 licences.
