Oncology is a Swiss clinical cancer journal from Karger that has been running since 1967. It carries clinical studies, translational research and short trial reports for oncologists.
Overview
Oncology has been published by S. Karger AG in Basel since 1967 and was earlier known under the parallel title Oncologia. The journal's stated aim is to accelerate the translation of experimental results into the clinic and back again into the laboratory. It publishes clinical studies, translational laboratory findings, invited and submitted mini-reviews, and short reports of phase 1 and phase 2 clinical trials across cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment; the editor is Maurie Markman of Philadelphia. The NLM Catalog records eight issues a year since 2007. Karger runs the journal on a hybrid model, with subscription access and an open access publishing option.
