Oncology research and treatment
Oncology Research and Treatment is the German-speaking haematology and oncology societies' journal, published in English by Karger. Clinicians read it for clinical and translational studies across the cancer specialties.
Overview
Oncology Research and Treatment is published monthly by S. Karger AG in Basel and is affiliated with the German (DGHO), Austrian (OeGHO) and Swiss (SGH/SSH) societies for haematology and medical oncology. It took its present title in 2014 as the continuation of Onkologie. The journal describes itself as an interdisciplinary forum for cancer research and treatment, addressed to clinicians and practitioners in haematology and oncology, and publishes peer-reviewed articles on medical haematology and oncology, surgical, gynaecological, paediatric, urological and dermatological oncology, diagnostics, radiation oncology, pathology, clinical and translational research and rehabilitation, with an emphasis on clinical rather than basic research. Editors are Ralf-Dieter Hofheinz (Mannheim) and Sylvie Lorenzen (Munich). Karger runs it on a hybrid model with subscription access and an open access option.
