An oral drug blocking the enzymes EZH2 and EZH1 produced responses in 48 per cent of people with relapsed adult T-cell leukaemia/lymphoma, most of whom had already had mogamulizumab.
A multicentre phase 2 trial of valemetostat, an EZH2 and EZH1 inhibitor, 200 mg a day by mouth until progression or unacceptable toxicity, in relapsed or refractory aggressive adult T-cell leukaemia/lymphoma (acute, lymphoma and unfavourable chronic types). The primary endpoint was overall response assessed centrally by an independent efficacy assessment committee.
Activity after mogamulizumab, in a disease with few options at that point. Single-arm and small.
