Heated intraperitoneal cisplatin during interval surgery, after neoadjuvant chemotherapy, extends survival in stage III disease.
OVHIPEC-1: OS 45.7 vs 33.9 months (HR 0.67) without extra major complications, confirmed at 10 years. Benefit appears specific to the interval-surgery setting; primary-surgery HIPEC (OVHIPEC-2) is still being tested.
