Akifumi Takaori (Takaori-Kondo) is Director of Kyoto University Hospital and a professor of hematology and oncology at Kyoto University. His research has addressed leukemia biology, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and the molecular pathogenesis of blood cancers. He leads the hospital's clinical, research and educational missions.
