Overview
Charlotte Coles was chief investigator of IMPORT LOW, the UK trial showing partial-breast radiotherapy after breast conservation matches whole-breast radiotherapy for local control with less breast hardening, and co-led IMPORT HIGH and the PRIMETIME study of radiotherapy omission. She chaired the Lancet Breast Cancer Commission and is a leader in ESTRO. Her work drives the shift to shorter, more targeted breast radiotherapy.
