Christos Karapetis
Australian medical oncologist whose landmark NEJM analysis showed KRAS mutation predicts lack of benefit from cetuximab in colorectal cancer.
Overview
Christos (Chris) Karapetis is a Professor of medical oncology at Flinders University and Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide and serves on the Board of Directors of the Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Trials Group. He was first author of the 2008 New England Journal of Medicine analysis of the CO.17 trial establishing KRAS mutation status as a predictive biomarker for cetuximab in advanced colorectal cancer, and has led numerous AGITG trials.
