Norman Wolmark
Surgical oncologist and long-time Chairman of the NSABP, whose trials established breast-conserving surgery and adjuvant therapy standards in breast and colorectal cancer.
Overview
Norman Wolmark is Chairman of the NSABP Foundation and Professor of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He has led the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project for decades, overseeing landmark trials including B-06 on breast-conserving surgery and the tamoxifen prevention and trastuzumab adjuvant trials. His work has defined much of the evidence base for adjuvant treatment of breast and colorectal cancer.
