Overview
Dirk Schadendorf is Director of the West German Cancer Center (WTZ) and Director of the Department of Dermatology at University Hospital Essen. He is one of Europe's most prolific melanoma investigators, having led or co-led pivotal trials of immune checkpoint inhibitors and BRAF/MEK-targeted therapy in adjuvant and metastatic settings. Under his leadership the WTZ is a designated German comprehensive cancer centre and part of the NCT West network.
