Overview
Gerald Prager is a gastrointestinal medical oncologist at the Medical University of Vienna and chairs ESMO's gastrointestinal cancer faculty. He was first author of the 2023 New England Journal of Medicine report of SUNLIGHT, the phase 3 trial in which trifluridine-tipiracil plus bevacizumab improved overall survival compared with trifluridine-tipiracil alone in refractory metastatic colorectal cancer, establishing the combination as a third-line standard.
