Overview
Han-Kwang Yang is President of the National Cancer Center Korea, the country's national cancer research institute and hospital in Goyang. A gastric cancer surgeon formerly at Seoul National University Hospital, he was a key investigator in the Korean Laparoendoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery Study (KLASS) trials that established laparoscopic gastrectomy as a standard for early gastric cancer. His role is stated in the President's greeting on the centre's website.
