Chief investigator of PARTNER, the UK trial of neoadjuvant olaparib with platinum chemotherapy in triple-negative and BRCA-associated breast cancer, run from Addenbrooke's across 23 NHS sites.
Jean Abraham is Professor of Precision Breast Cancer Medicine and an honorary consultant in medical oncology at the University of Cambridge, where she directs the Precision Breast Cancer Institute and co-leads the Breast Programme of the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre. Her department page lists the development of clinical trials in high-risk and hereditary early breast cancer as a research aim. She was chief investigator of PARTNER (Nature 2024), the Cambridge-sponsored phase 2/3 trial that added olaparib to platinum-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy in triple-negative and germline BRCA breast cancer; the University's news release reports 100 percent three-year survival in the 39 germline BRCA patients given chemotherapy followed by olaparib after a 48-hour gap, against 88 percent in the 45 control patients. She was also a co-author of the TNT trial and of the Neo-tAnGo and ARTemis neoadjuvant trials.
