Jennifer Welsh is Chief Executive of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, the trust that operates the Northern Ireland Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital, the regional radiotherapy and cancer centre for Northern Ireland. She took up the post in October 2025, having been Chief Executive of the Northern Health and Social Care Trust, and the Trust describes more than 25 years of experience as a director within Northern Ireland's health and social care service with expertise in strategy, operations, performance and capital development. She succeeded Maureen Edwards, who served as Interim Chief Executive from September 2024 to October 2025, and works with Trust chairman Professor Stuart Elborn.
