Northern Ireland Cancer Centre, Belfast City Hospital

The Northern Ireland Cancer Centre opened in 2006 on the Belfast City Hospital site as the single regional centre for radiotherapy and specialist cancer treatment for Northern Ireland's population, run by the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. It provides radiotherapy, systemic therapy, haematology and clinical trials, and is linked with the Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research at Queen's University Belfast, whose research in colorectal and prostate cancer, DNA damage response and digital pathology feeds the centre's Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre and the Northern Ireland Biobank.
