Mount Vernon Cancer Centre

Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood, Middlesex, is a specialist non-surgical cancer centre run by East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, providing radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy and brachytherapy for a population spanning north-west London, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Its site was home to the Gray Laboratory, one of the world's leading radiobiology laboratories, and it retains a strong research tradition in radiotherapy trials, including landmark UK breast and prostate radiotherapy fractionation studies, together with the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre for imaging research. Plans to move the centre to a new host and site have been under NHS review.
