Overview
Lajos Pusztai (Yale Cancer Center) co-leads the I-SPY2 adaptive neoadjuvant platform, whose durvalumab and pembrolizumab arms provided the first randomised evidence that checkpoint inhibitors raise pathological complete response in triple-negative breast cancer, before KEYNOTE-522 confirmed it. He led the SWOG S1418 adjuvant pembrolizumab trial and has published widely on immune gene signatures. His current focus is response-adapted de-escalation.
