Lyn Simpson

Lyn Simpson is Group Chief Executive of NHS Humber Health Partnership, the group formed by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust, whose hospitals include Castle Hill Hospital and its Queen's Centre for Oncology and Haematology. She took up the post in July 2025 on secondment from North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. She trained as a nurse, health visitor and midwife, has served as an executive board director since 1992, and her earlier roles include Executive Director of Patient Services at Newcastle Hospitals and national Director of NHS Operations at the Department of Health and NHS England. She works alongside Group Chair Alan Downey and Group Chief Medical Officer Kate Wood.
