Neuro-oncologist who created the RANO response criteria used in every brain tumour trial and leads glioblastoma drug development.
Overview
Patrick Wen led the Response Assessment in Neuro-Oncology (RANO) working group that replaced the Macdonald criteria and standardised how glioma trials measure response, and has been principal investigator of numerous targeted therapy trials in glioblastoma including the INDIGO steering committee. He directs neuro-oncology at Dana-Farber, edits Neuro-Oncology, and co-chairs the Society for Neuro-Oncology's trial initiatives.
