Ingo K. Mellinghoff
Led INDIGO, the trial that made vorasidenib the first targeted therapy for low-grade IDH-mutant glioma.
Overview
Ingo Mellinghoff was principal investigator of INDIGO, which showed the dual IDH1/2 inhibitor vorasidenib more than doubles progression-free survival and delays the need for chemoradiotherapy in grade 2 IDH-mutant glioma, the first targeted drug approved for glioma and a shift away from early radiation for young patients. His laboratory studies signalling and metabolism in glioma and he leads neuro-oncology drug development at MSKCC.
