Overview
Rolf Stahel founded the European Thoracic Oncology Platform in 2009 to run academic lung cancer and mesothelioma trials across Europe, including the SAKK mesothelioma surgery trial, BELIEF, SPLENDOUR and the ETOP-led collaborations on ALK and EGFR disease, and now leads the foundation formed by its merger with the International Breast Cancer Study Group. He has been president of ESMO and led the Zurich lung cancer programme.
