Overview
Sumanta Pal was principal investigator of SWOG PAPMET (S1500), which showed cabozantinib outperforms sunitinib in metastatic papillary renal cell carcinoma, the first practice-changing randomised trial in a non-clear-cell histology, and a lead investigator of COSMIC-313 and CONTACT-03. He led the randomised trial of the live bacterial product CBM588 with immunotherapy. He co-directs the kidney cancer programme at City of Hope.
