Yasuharu Nakashima (中島康晴) is Hospital Director of Kyushu University Hospital in Fukuoka, the university's principal teaching hospital, according to the hospital's leadership list dated 1 April 2026. He is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Kyushu University, a post he has held since 2016, with clinical interests in hip surgery, total hip arthroplasty, rheumatoid arthritis and paediatric orthopaedics. In his director's greeting he notes that he served as a vice director from 2018, including through the COVID-19 pandemic, before taking the top post.
