Alpha Tau Medical
Alpha Tau Medical places tiny radioactive seeds directly inside tumours so that short-range alpha radiation destroys the cancer from within. It is testing the approach in pancreatic, skin, head and neck, brain and prostate cancers.
Overview
Alpha Tau Medical Ltd. (Nasdaq: DRTS), based in Jerusalem, is a clinical-stage oncology company developing Alpha DaRT, an intratumoural alpha-emitting radiotherapy delivered via implantable sources for superficial and deep-seated solid tumours. Trials are conducted under five FDA Investigational Device Exemptions in the US and at sites in Canada, Israel, Italy and France, spanning pancreatic cancer (the multicentre IMPACT pilot study completed enrolment in August 2026 after several expansions), cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, head and neck cancer (July 2026 data with pembrolizumab reported a 100 percent objective response rate and 18.2 month median overall survival), recurrent glioblastoma (REGAIN trial, with FDA clearance in June 2026 to complete enrolment), prostate and lung cancer. A June 2026 collaboration with Tolmar covers US urological cancers, and the company registered for a dual listing on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in August 2026.
