Altay Therapeutics develops oral small molecules against transcription-factor-driven pathways in liver fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Its YC profile reports preclinical mouse data showing reduction and partial reversal of fibrosis, and a plan to reach phase 1. The co-founder led early development of pirfenidone, the first approved drug for lung fibrosis. Oncology is one of two stated indications; programmes are preclinical as far as public sources show. Included because liver cancer is an explicit target.
