Ascentage Pharma
Ascentage is a Chinese biotechnology company built on protein-protein interaction inhibitors: olverembatinib, a third-generation BCR-ABL inhibitor approved in China for T315I-mutant chronic myeloid leukaemia, and the BCL-2 inhibitor lisaftoclax.
Overview
Ascentage Pharma, based in Suzhou and listed in Hong Kong and, since 2025, on Nasdaq, designs small molecules that block protein-protein interactions in apoptosis and other pathways. Olverembatinib (HQP1351), a BCR-ABL inhibitor active against the T315I mutation, was approved in China in 2021 for resistant chronic myeloid leukaemia and is in global trials with Takeda. Lisaftoclax (APG-2575) is a BCL-2 inhibitor in phase 3 trials in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and other blood cancers. OnCo records it as a registry sponsor of phase 3 cancer trials.
