Century Therapeutics
Century makes off-the-shelf cell therapies from induced pluripotent stem cells that are engineered to hide from the patient's immune system. Its main focus is now type 1 diabetes, with a CD19 CAR T-like product for cancer and autoimmune disease due to enter the clinic in 2026.
Overview
Century Therapeutics develops allogeneic, induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived cell therapies for autoimmune disease and cancer. Lead programme CNTY-813 is an iPSC-derived islet replacement therapy for type 1 diabetes with an IND submission planned for the fourth quarter of 2026 following a pre-IND meeting with the FDA. CNTY-308 is a CD19-targeted CAR-iT (iPSC-derived T cell) therapy incorporating the company's Allo-Evasion 5.0 immune-evasion edits, on track to enter the clinic in 2026. The company reported $197.2 million in cash and investments at 30 June 2026 with runway into the first quarter of 2029. Century is headquartered in Philadelphia and trades on Nasdaq as IPSC.
