CureVac
CureVac was one of the pioneers of messenger RNA medicines and developed mRNA cancer vaccines for brain and head and neck cancer. It is now part of BioNTech, which bought the company.
Overview
CureVac N.V., based in Tübingen, Germany, was an early mRNA technology company. In oncology it advanced CVGBM, an off-the-shelf mRNA cancer vaccine encoding shared tumour-associated antigens for glioblastoma, and CVHNLC, a second oncology candidate, alongside partnered mRNA programmes and a broad mRNA manufacturing and intellectual property estate. The company's website now states that BioNTech has successfully closed its acquisition of CureVac and that CureVac is part of the BioNTech Group (Nasdaq: BNTX), redirecting visitors to biontech.com. Detailed programme status is now reported within BioNTech's pipeline.
