Nykode Therapeutics
Nykode makes cancer vaccines that teach the immune system to attack tumours. One is built from each patient's own tumour mutations; another targets cancers caused by the HPV16 virus, such as cervical cancer.
Overview
Nykode Therapeutics (Euronext Oslo: NYKD) develops immunotherapies on its Vaccibody platform, a DNA-encoded molecule that delivers antigens to antigen-presenting cells to induce strong and durable T cell responses. VB10.16 (abi-suva) is an off-the-shelf vaccine against HPV16 E6 and E7. In the phase 2 VB-C-02 trial in advanced cervical cancer with atezolizumab, median progression-free survival was 6.3 months and median overall survival was not reached beyond 25 months in PD-L1 positive patients (April 2023). A collaboration with MSD tests VB10.16 with pembrolizumab in HPV16-positive head and neck cancer. VB10.NEO is a fully individualised neoantigen vaccine with optimised manufacturing reported in 2026. In August 2026 Nykode raised about NOK 286 million in a private placement to fund VB10.NEO partnering, the move of abi-suva from phase 2 to phase 3 and a tolerance platform, with shareholders Rasmussengruppen and Andenæsgruppen participating.
