Overview
Gamida Cell, with operations in Boston and Jerusalem, developed a nicotinamide-based method for expanding cord blood stem cells outside the body. Its product omidubicel (Omisirge) became in April 2023 the first FDA-approved therapy to shorten neutrophil recovery after umbilical cord blood transplantation for haematologic malignancies.
