Massive Bio
Massive Bio uses artificial intelligence to read a cancer patient's medical records and match them to clinical trials they may be eligible for, anywhere in the world, with doctors checking the results.
Overview
Massive Bio, based in New York and co-founded by Selin Kurnaz, oncologist Arturo Loaiza-Bonilla and Cagatay Culcuoglu, runs the SYNERGY-AI platform, which analyses more than 500 clinical and molecular data elements from uploaded records to match patients to more than 19,000 active oncology and haematology trials, with physician review and a report within 24 hours. It reports more than 200,000 onboarded patients, 17 pharmaceutical customers and operations in 18 countries, and in November 2025 became the AI trial matching provider for the American Cancer Society's ACS ACTS clinical trial equity programme. In May 2020 Massive Bio raised USD 9 million led by Revo Capital and Kenan Turnacıoğlu with DEG participating; the release did not name the series, so it is not entered as a round. A later USD 2.6 million raise from strategic investors is undated on the company site.
Notes
top- The 2020 USD 9 million round and the USD 2.6 million follow-on have no series names in company releases, so they are described in the summary only. Founding year not sourced. Stage set to startup by default.
