Trial Library is software that helps everyday cancer clinics spot which patients might qualify for a clinical trial, refer them, and remove practical barriers like transport so more people, especially in under served communities, can join trials.
Overview
Trial Library, founded in 2022 by oncologist Hala Borno and based in San Francisco, is an AI native enrolment and navigation platform that embeds clinical trials as a care option in community oncology. It pre-screens patients for provider activation, optimises referrals within health systems, runs a Navigation OS that addresses transport, food, language and other barriers to retention, and in May 2026 launched a conversational AI trial search tool. Partners include Texas Oncology, Trinity Health, The Oncology Institute and AccessHope, with deployment across more than 840 clinics and 3,000 providers. The company raised a USD 5 million seed led by Lux Capital in March 2022 and a USD 10 million Series A in December 2025 co-led by NEXT Ventures and SemperVirens Venture Capital with Sanofi Ventures, Lux Capital and others, for USD 17.6 million in total.
