Mission Bio
Mission Bio sells an instrument that reads DNA mutations and proteins from thousands of individual cancer cells at once, helping researchers see how leukaemia and myeloma evolve and resist treatment.
Overview
Mission Bio, based in South San Francisco, develops the Tapestri single-cell platform, which measures single nucleotide variants, copy number variation and cell-surface proteins from the same individual cells. In 2025 it launched a single-cell targeted genotype and gene expression assay profiling DNA and RNA from more than 10,000 cells, alongside solutions for multiple myeloma, myeloid malignancies, genome integrity in engineered cell therapies and vector copy number in CAR-T products. Tapestri is used as a high-resolution residual disease assay, for example profiling residual disease in acute myeloid leukaemia (BLAST trial, 2026), and powered several EHA 2026 studies on clonal architecture and treatment response. Mission Bio collaborates with the Human Cell Atlas. In August 2025 the company secured an equity financing led by Ally Bridge Group to expand its tri-omics platform; the amount was not disclosed.
Notes
top- 2025 financing has no disclosed amount or round label, so it is not recorded as a structured round. Earlier Series C and D not sourced; stage growth reflects those unsourced rounds. Founding year not sourced.
