Oncobox profiles a tumour's genes and the activity of its signalling pathways, then ranks approved targeted drugs by how likely they are to work for that patient.
Overview
Oncobox Dx combines tumour DNA and RNA sequencing with pathway-activation algorithms to score more than a hundred marketed targeted drugs for an individual patient with advanced cancer, returning a ranked report for the treating oncologist. Its YC profile cites a European and Asian study of about 900 late-stage patients in which the approach was associated with higher targeted-therapy effectiveness; that work is observational and the test has not been validated in a randomised trial. Oncobox remains active in the YC directory and markets to clinicians, hospitals and pharma.
