Orakl Oncology, a spinout of Gustave Roussy in Paris, grows small replicas of real patients' tumours in the laboratory, tests drugs on them, and uses AI to predict which patients will respond and whether a trial is likely to succeed.
Orakl Oncology is a spin-off of Gustave Roussy based at The Hive in Villejuif. It grows tumour organoids from patients, screens them against drugs and combines the results with genomic, transcriptomic and clinical data to predict patient response; the company says its organoid collection is the largest of its kind in pancreatic and colorectal cancer and in KRAS-mutant cancers. Its products are O-Predict, for clinical trial forecasting, and O-Target, for target discovery. The co-founders are Fanny Jaulin (chief executive), Diane-Laure Pagès (chief operating officer) and Gustave Ronteix (chief technology officer). In December 2024 it raised an EUR 11 million seed round led by Singular, with Bpifrance and existing investors.
