Selvana is building a personalised blood test, designed from a patient's own tumour, that follows the cancer through treatment and watches for it coming back.
Selvana's site says scans and biopsies are often months apart and show only one moment, so a treatment that is failing can carry on and a recurrence can be found late. Its answer is a blood test built from each patient's own tumour, which tracks more than 10,000 of that tumour's mutations in circulating tumour DNA at every blood draw, to show how much disease is present and how it is changing. When the picture shifts, the company says it looks more closely at what the cancer is becoming. It is an Even One Ventures portfolio company and has published no test results, trials or papers.
