SK Life Science is the American arm of the Korean drug maker SK Biopharmaceuticals, best known for epilepsy medicines. It is now developing a radioactive cancer medicine, SKL35501, aimed at tumours that carry the NTSR1 receptor.
SK Life Science, Inc., a subsidiary of SK Biopharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., is based at 461 From Road in Paramus, New Jersey (FDA record) and says it develops treatments for central nervous system disorders and cancer. Its pipeline lists the epilepsy medicine cenobamate and several oncology programmes: SKL35501 (FL-091) targeting NTSR1, a CA9-targeting programme, a ROR1 project and a p300 degrader. It describes a global first-in-human phase 1 trial of SKL35501, an alpha-emitter radiopharmaceutical, in advanced solid tumours expressing NTSR1 in the United States and South Korea (NCT07812805). On 5 October 2026 the FDA granted orphan drug designation for pancreatic cancer to 225Ac chelated with SKL35500, an NTSR1-targeting compound with a DOTA chelator.
SKL35501 is an experimental radioactive medicine from SK Life Science that seeks out tumour cells carrying the NTSR1 receptor and irradiates them from close range. It is in a first trial in people, and the FDA has given it orphan drug status for pancreatic cancer.
