A Berlin company that engineers patients' T cells with receptors that recognise cancer, aiming at solid tumours. Its lead therapy targets PRAME, a marker found in many cancers, and its first trial is planned for 2026.
T-Knife develops engineered T-cell therapies for solid tumours. Its lead candidate is a TCR-T therapy targeting PRAME, which the company says is found in cancers of the skin, uterus, ovaries, lungs, breasts, oesophagus, kidneys, cervix and head and neck; the T cells carry the company's added enhancements meant to improve fitness and persistence in the tumour. The company says a Phase 1 trial is planned to begin in 2026 after CTA approval, and it lists in vivo programmes as well. T-Knife was founded on technology from the Max Delbruck Center for Molecular Medicine and Charite, with co-founders Thomas Blankenstein and Elisa Kieback. An earlier Phase 1/2 trial of MAGE-A1-directed TCR-T cells in advanced solid tumours (NCT05430555, sponsor T-knife GmbH) is registered as terminated.
