Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital
Southern Vietnam's principal cancer hospital, one of the busiest in South-east Asia, with a large new campus in Thu Duc and the Ho Chi Minh City cancer registry.
Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital is the referral cancer centre for southern Vietnam and one of the highest-volume cancer hospitals in the region, serving patients from the Mekong Delta and central highlands. It opened a large second campus in Thu Duc in 2020 to relieve severe overcrowding, provides surgical, medical and radiation oncology, nuclear medicine and paediatric oncology, runs the Ho Chi Minh City population-based cancer registry, and trains oncologists for the southern provinces. The hospital collaborates internationally on breast, cervical, liver and nasopharyngeal cancer studies and radiotherapy capacity building, and is expanding trial participation.
