Vietnam National Cancer Hospital (K Hospital)

K Hospital, formally the Vietnam National Cancer Hospital, was founded in Hanoi in 1969 on the site of the French-era Institut du Radium de l'Indochine (1923) and is the top-level cancer hospital of Vietnam's Ministry of Health, with three campuses including the large Tan Trieu site. It houses the National Cancer Institute of Vietnam, coordinates the Hanoi and national cancer registries and the national cancer control programme, and delivers the country's largest volumes of surgical, medical and radiation oncology, nuclear medicine and paediatric oncology. K Hospital is increasingly active in international trials in lung, gastric, liver and nasopharyngeal cancer and in partnerships to expand radiotherapy and palliative care across Vietnam.
