A UK charity that funds head and neck cancer research and programmes to improve patient outcomes and reduce inequalities in care.
Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK traces its roots to a £10,000 gift from the Filmer-Wilson family in 1979 that set up a head and neck cancer research fund; Peter Rhys Evans, a head and neck surgeon at the Royal Marsden Hospital, grew it from 1986 into what became Oracle Cancer Trust. It funds research and key programmes to improve outcomes for people with head and neck cancer, raises awareness and works on inequalities in care; its site mentions research projects at Oxford and UCL, an annual oncology meeting for clinicians and patient webinars such as one on eating after treatment. The Charity Commission register records latest income of about £0.6 million for the year ending 31 May 2025.
