Saskatchewan Cancer Agency
Saskatchewan's provincial cancer agency, running the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.
Overview
The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency is the provincial body responsible for cancer prevention, screening, treatment and research in Saskatchewan. It operates two treatment centres, the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre, providing radiotherapy, systemic therapy and supportive care, and delivers community oncology through partner hospitals so that patients in a large, sparsely populated province can receive chemotherapy closer to home. The agency runs the provincial breast, cervical and colorectal screening programmes and the Saskatchewan Cancer Registry, and works with the University of Saskatchewan on clinical trials and population health research.
