A lung-only hospital in Shanghai with one of the largest thoracic surgery volumes anywhere and a medical oncology group that has led many Chinese lung cancer trials.
Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital, affiliated to Tongji University, is a national clinical research centre for lung disease and a very high-volume thoracic surgery centre, known for uniportal and robotic lobectomy and for large early-stage screening cohorts. Caicun Zhou's Department of Medical Oncology has been the Chinese lead site for first-generation EGFR inhibitor trials, camrelizumab, sintilimab and tislelizumab combinations, and ADC studies in NSCLC. The hospital publishes extensively on ground-glass nodules, minimally invasive surgery and the molecular epidemiology of lung cancer in never-smokers.
