Breast Cancer Research was launched in 1999 by BioMed Central in London and is published by BMC, part of Springer Nature. As its title indicates, it is devoted to research on breast cancer, from laboratory science to clinical studies, and its DOAJ and NLM records list it as an English journal published from London. It is fully open access and listed in DOAJ with CC BY and CC BY-NC-ND licences, an article processing charge and anonymous peer review, with open access content from 2000. Indexed in MEDLINE.
