The Breast is the European Society of Mastology's open access journal on breast disease and breast cancer, covering surgery, oncology, screening and survivorship.
Overview
The Breast is the official journal of the European Society of Mastology (its NLM title) and, per an NLM note, an associate journal of the Australasian Society for Breast Disease, which DOAJ also lists as an associated institution. It began in March 1992 with Churchill Livingstone in Edinburgh and has been published by Elsevier from Amsterdam since 2002 (NLM Catalog; Crossref lists Elsevier). NLM records it as bimonthly, indexed for MEDLINE under Breast, Breast Diseases and Breast Neoplasms. DOAJ lists the journal as open access since 2020 with CC BY, CC BY-NC and CC BY-NC-ND licences, an article processing charge and anonymous peer review. The publisher's thebreastonline.
