Current Problems in Cancer seeks to promote and disseminate innovative, transformative and impactful data on patient-oriented cancer research and clinical care, focusing on well-designed studies that influence or alter practice or identify new directions in translational and clinical cancer research, including novel therapeutic approaches, new strategies for early diagnosis, clinical trials and supportive care. Pre-clinical and purely laboratory studies are discouraged. The format occasionally allows a multi-faceted overview of a single topic through a curated selection of review articles, and case reports are directed to its open access companion title, Current Problems in Cancer: Case Reports. ScienceDirect lists the journal as supporting open access, so authors may choose open access or subscription publication. NLM records the title from 1976, first published in Chicago by Year Book Medical Publishers and later by Mosby in St. Louis, bimonthly, indexed in MEDLINE and PubMed. Not listed in DOAJ.
