Overview
Alicia Jackson is Director of the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), the United States government agency that funds high-risk, high-reward biomedical research. She holds a PhD in materials science from MIT and previously served as a Program Manager and Deputy Director of DARPA's Biological Technologies Office, where she guided an investment portfolio across biodefence, novel medicine development and biomanufacturing. She founded and led Evernow, a company focused on women's health during menopause, and co-founded or advised several biotechnology start-ups.
