Overview
Amanda Pritchard DBE is Chief Executive of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, the London trust whose services include the Guy's Cancer centre, a role she took up in September 2025. She previously spent nearly four years as Chief Executive of NHS England, the first woman to lead the health service, after two years as its Chief Operating Officer, and before that had already led Guy's and St Thomas' as Chief Executive. She began her NHS career as a graduate trainee in 1997 and received a damehood in 2026. The trust's executive team includes Professor Ian Abbs as Chief Medical Officer and Sarah Clarke as Chief Executive of the Cancer Surgery Clinical Group.
