Armando Santoro
Veteran Italian medical oncologist who leads oncology and haematology at Humanitas and has co-authored major trials in lymphoma, liver cancer and novel targeted drugs.
Overview
Armando Santoro heads the Medical Oncology and Hematology Unit at IRCCS Humanitas Research Hospital and is Full Professor of Medical Oncology at Humanitas University. Trained in oncology and haematology in Genoa and formerly at Italy's National Cancer Institute in Milan, he joined Humanitas in 1997. His clinical research spans lymphomas, hepatocellular carcinoma and early-phase development of biological and targeted therapies.
